Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock with a sand grain content of at least 50 percent, predominantly made of quartz. Already the Egyptians used this natural material for the construction of their buildings and tombs. The warm radiance of the sandstone is enhanced by the light to dark earth colours. Its semi rough surface underline that. Since the following sandstones have a relatively high quartz content, they are robust and weather-resistant.

Sandstone is normally not polished, but there are many machining methods such as: split, frosted, sanded, brushed, sanded or sandblasted.

Very pleasant feeling.
